The Erwin Pawn Trade-A-Thon Got Their Black-Eyed Peas In For The New Year

It was the first show of 2015 for the Erwin Pawn Trade-A-Thon and we had another outstanding time bringing buyers and sellers together.

It's the show where you can buy and sell pretty much anything except guns and ammunition.  We do it every Saturday.  It's want ads on the radio and all you have to do to make your listing is call in, it's totally free to participate.

THE BIG QUESTION

We ask all our callers a poll question before they give their items.  Sometimes it's out of left field but this way it was a topical question. Being our first show of the New Year were were curious if you took part in our regional tradition of eating black-eyed peas for good luck in the New Year.

RULE #6

Along with the regular rules of conduct on the show I always bring you a special rule 6.  It changes every week.  This week I kept with the New Year's theme.

It's that time of year where many of us set lofty goals in the name of resolutions.  And then we spend most of February disappointed in ourselves for not sticking to the resolution.  I thought that was good inspiration for a rule #6.

Rule #6 New Year's resolutions are a gateway to depression.
