Another fun and successful Saturday morning is now in the books.  Here's what you missed.

It's the show that is 100% about the listeners and callers.  It's want ads on the radio and the service if provided for free by Townsquare Media and Erwin Pawn.  We usually have a pretty good time and we don't take things too seriously.

THE BIG QUESTION

We ask all our callers a poll question before they give their items.  It provides for a stream-of-consciousness during the show.

Saturday was national Food-on-a-stick day.  We decided to celebrate by asking you what your favorite food on a stick was.  We got a few odd nominations but tradition took the day.

What is your favorite food-on-a-stick?

Corn dog 9

Ice cream, k-bobs, steak, sausage and cheese served on sticks also received multiple votes.

Single votes were made for monkey meat(?), pork, oysters, bacon, liollipops and chicken.

We expected corn dogs to win the day.  We did not expect monkey meat.

RULE #6

Along with the regular rules of the program I always bring you a special Rule #6.  It changes every week and is usually inspired by something that happened to me over the previous week.

Last week I was talking to my daughter, Katilyn G.  She is nearing the end of her second semester at UTSA and she was experiencing a little uncertainty and doubt.  My advice to her was so pointed that we both agreed it would make a good rule.

Rule #6: Being positive on the outside helps with the uncertainty inside.

See you next Saturday for another Erwin Pawn Trade-A-Thon!
