The Erwin Pawn Trade-A-Thon Celebrates Easter

Sandwiched in between Good Friday and Easter Sunday was Saturday's Erwin Pawn Trade-A-Thon.

It's the show on KIXZ that is all about you and your immediate financial needs.  It's three hours of want ads on the radio.  We open up the phone lines for you every Saturday from 9 to noon.

You have a standing appointment every Saturday morning.  Sell the stuff you no longer need for the cash you desperately do.  And of course you can just sit back and listen.  We try to make it as entertaining as want ads can possibly be!

THE BIG QUESTION

We ask all our callers a poll question before they list their items.  It provides a running stream of thought during the program and let's our callers weigh in on a variety of topics, sometimes serious, sometimes playful, last Saturday it was a seasonal Big Question.

Being Easter weekend we knew there we probably just as many people preparing Easter baskets and there were women looking for the perfect Easter dress.  We wanted to know which you thought of more when you think of Easter.

Yep, a dead tie.  A very rare tie.  Personally I out grew what comes inside an Easter basket and am now involved with someone who nicely fills out an Easter dress, therefore I chose dress.

RULE #6

At the beginning of each hour on Trade-A-Thon we bring you the rules of conduct for the show.  It helps educate the newbies and helps keep the regulars in line.

Rule #6 is sometimes commentary, sometimes inspired by current events, or is derived from a thought I had that I felt was especially wise and sage.  This week I still had Easter on the brain.

No other holiday screams candy like Easter.  There's so much being bought and given and eaten that you have to be careful when buying your candy.  This is the time of year the lowest of the low candy manufacturers unload their lesser quality candies on an unsuspecting public.  It's very important to avoid the generic candy or the cheap candy.  Go top shelf with your chocolate and you won't go wrong.

Rule #6 Avoid cheap, no name Easter candy.  You get what you pay for and it don't pay too good.
