We were all bummed out about the cancellation of the Electric Light Parade and the lighting of the City's Christmas Tree.  Although the parade isn't going to be re-scheduled, the lighting of the tree will be.

The end of the parade is usually when the city Christmas tree gets lit and when the boys and girls get to meet Santa.  Well, since the parade was cancelled, the city has re-scheduled the lighting of the tree.

Tuesday, December 10th the tree will be lit! Santa will start visiting at 4:30 p.m. on the second floor of the Globe-News Center for the Performing Arts, and the mayor will light the tree at about 5:50pm.

Music and Santa visiting will continue until about 6:30pm.  Although seeing a ton of floats all decked out in Christmas lights would have been amazing, at least we will still have the opportunity to talk to Santa and see the lighting of the Christmas Tree!
