Texas Meat Packer Recalling Sausage Across Nation; Amarillo

A meat packer based in Texas is recalling more than 26,000 pounds of a sausage sold in stores nationwide.

Eddy Packing Co. makes 'Artisan Fresh' sausage.  It is a chicken and apple sausage.  The company is recalling the three-to-a-pack three pound packages of the food.  The packages have a sell by date of June 23rd.

The product is being recalled after shards of plastic were found mixed in with the sausage.

If you have any of this sausage on hand look for codes '42450' and 'p13202' on the label.  If you have sausage with the codes listed return the item to the store of purchase for a refund or exchange.
