FORT SMITH, Ark. (AP) — A man wanted in Texas in connection with the death of two people has been arrested in Arkansas.

The Southwest Times Records reports (http://bit.ly/LBFK4q) that 43-year-old Leo George Click Jr., of Victoria, Texas, was arrested Jan. 29 in Mountainburg.

Authorities say Click was driving under the influence along Texas 35 in Refugio County last August when the vehicle crossed the center line and struck an oncoming car. Two people were killed, 45-year-old Nicole Lowenberg and 14-year-old Samuel Stoffregen.

The Refugio County Sheriff's Office issued an arrest warrant for Click in November.

Click's girlfriend, 45-year-old Carol Beerwart, was also arrested in Arkansas last week on suspicion of felony hindering apprehension.

Both Click and Beerwart were booked into the Crawford County Adult Detention Center. Click is being held on $225,000 bond.
