One point made all the difference.

Somehow, two months of high school football has come and gone. Right now, Dumas has the best standings in the district, with a 7-0 record. Amarillo and Canyon come in second and third, respectively, with a 4-2 and 6-1 record (both are 3-1 in district play).

Hereford and Palo Duro are both 0-4 in district play, but they have 3-5 and 1-6 records, respectively.

Last week, Canyon played Palo Duro on Thursday evening. Canyon took home the victory with a final score of 36-23.

On Friday night, Randall beat Hereford 37-21, Amarillo High beat Plainview 31-10, Dumas beat Caprock 34-24, and Tascosa barely beat Permian 21-20.

Next week, Plainview will play Caprock on Thursday. On Friday, Canyon takes on Dumas, Randall will battle Amarillo High, Tascosa will go up against Midland, and Hereford will play Palo Duro.
