UPDATED: 2:08 P.M. MAY 11 -- The Van Zandt County City Marshal has confirmed multiple deaths after a tornado hit the town of Van late Sunday night, KLTV is reporting.
Here in Texas we are used to the threat of tornadoes. Our major threat is during late spring, summer, and early fall. The recent tornadoes that recently destroyed parts of the Midwest we massive and many were classified EF4 tornadoes.
On Sunday more than 80 tornadoes tore through the Midwest, killing at least six people in Illinois, injuring dozens more, leveling homes and businesses, and leaving a swath of destruction from Missouri through Michigan.
Remember the woman in Moore, Oklahoma who found her dog, Boweser, in the rubble during a news report after the devastating tornado last month?
