Fourth of July is just around the corner and that means fireworks. Fireworks stands are opening their doors for the holiday. Fireworks are fun when used correctly and that means not within the city limits. The Amarillo Police Department along with the Amarillo Fire Marshal's office want to remind you that it is illegal to have fireworks in the city.
The 4th of July holiday is just around the corner. You can now find fireworks stands on the corner of every major street outside the city limits. However when it comes to fireworks, they are still illegal to possess and fire inside the city limits.
The 4th of July is a fun holiday. It's a day to get together with family and friends to celebrate our country's independence. It's also the perfect day for fireworks. Last year Canyon went bigger and better with their 4th of July celebration and this year they are continuing the tradition. This year mark your calenders and join us at Kimbrough Memorial Station for fireworks and the Gin Blossoms live in concert.
