A suspect wanted in connection with harassment of two females has been arrested.

On Sunday a man approached a female in the parking lot at 3030 South Soncy.  The suspect began a conversation with the woman and during the discussion reached out and touched her thigh.  The victim got away from the man and called police.  Officers searched the area but could not locate the suspect.

Then on Monday officers were called to the 6300 block of Adirondack on a similar call.  APD officers located and detained 30-year-old Zackary Quentin Marks.  The second victim positively identified Marks.  Officers then contacted the first victim and she identified Marks as the person who assaulted her on Monday.

Marks was charged with Assault by Contact, a class C misdemeanor.  The charge is described as intentionally or knowingly causing physical contact with another with the person knows or should reasonably believe that the other will regard the contact as offensive or provocative.  As it is a misdemeanor charge that officers did not personally observe, the law requires officers must secure a warrant to make an arrest.

At least three other reports of similar incidents are still under investigation but no charges have been filed.
