West Amarillo was the scene of a grass fire Sunday afternoon.

Potter County fire fighters were called to the 3100 block of Estates Drive about 1pm on Sunday.  Officials quickly determined the fire was sparked by a malfunctioning power line.

Nearly 10 fire crews were rotated within the hour to get the fire under control.

Thankfully there were no evacuations and no injuries were reported.

Nearly 50 homes in the area did experience power outages lasting approximately and hour.
