Sunday Fire In Amarillo Damages Garage

The Amarillo Fire Department was called to a garage fire on Sunday.

At around 3:30 yesterday, six fire trucks were sent to South Maryland in northwest Amarillo.  Arriving firefighters found a garage on fire.

They were able to extinguish the fire before it spread to the house.

An 8-year-old is being treated for minor smoke inhalation.  There were no other injuries reports.

AFD is still investigating the cause of the fire.
