Sunday Car Fire In Amarillo Was Arson

On Sunday the police and fire departments responded to the report of a car fire.

It happened around 9:30pm on Sunday at the 1100 block of Sugar Loaf.  When authorities arrived they found a car on fire.  The fire department extinguished the fire immediately on arrival.  No one was injured in the incident.  The fire department estimated the vehicle was a total loss and was worth around $10,000.

The fire department determined on the scene that the fire was intentionally set.  The investigation is ongoing.
