With all the hardship in the Fritch area the last thing students need to be doing is taking a test.

The STAAR Re-test was scheduled for today in Fritch.  With the widespread destruction and displacement of residents due to the wildfire the Fritch Superintendent asked the Texas Education Agency if the test could be rescheduled.

He was initially told no.

That drew the attention of area legislators like Four Price and Kel Seliger.  Both made calls to the Texas Education Agency.  The agency finally relented and allowed Fritch to reschedule the STAAR re-test for next week.
