Rusty Humphries

At only 44 years old, Rusty Humphries has been in the radio and music business for over 25 years. The nationally syndicated talk-personality is heard through The Talk Radio Network on over 250 radio stations nationwide and growing. He’s also one of the only radio hosts heard on both XM and Sirius satellite radio.

Rusty has had a very successful and colorful career. He’s been a contestant on The Wheel of Fortune, a tour guide at Universal Studios in Hollywood, and even a candidate for U.S. Senate. He has done numerous charitable activities such as working with US Troops in Iraq and sending children needed school supplies. He has sent US Troops DVDs for their enjoyment. He took a local cancer group, comprised of 16 children and their families, to Disneyland. He was responsible for bringing The Moving Vietnam Wall to his community; he’s helped the State of Nevada raise 1.5 million dollars for the WWII Memorial in Washington DC; and he’s been involved in countless other charitable projects.

Rusty’s on air broadcasts have taken him to Iraq, Kuwait, England, Cuba, Mexico, Italy, and Israel (including Gaza and The West Bank). He has become an expert in military affairs. He regularly features some of America’s solders and great leaders live from the battlefields of Iraq and Afghanistan. He has direct connections to the Pentagon and Centcom (US Central Command).

Rusty has been named one of America’s 100 Most Important Radio Talk Show Hosts eight years in a row and was nominated as Talk Personality Of The Year by Radio and Records. He was inducted into the Nevada Broadcasters Hall of Fame as its youngest inductee ever. Later, Humphries was named Celebrity of the Year by the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.

For more than 10 years Rusty was the Executive Director of TM Century Morning Show Services. His company provided parody songs, music, and jingles to over 300 morning radio shows in America with an additional 500 stations worldwide via The Armed Forces Radio Network.

Rusty has hosted radio shows in New York City, Dallas, San Diego, Atlanta, and Ft. Wayne. He has also worked at radio stations in Chicago, Los Angeles, Seattle, Kansas City, and Portland, Oregon.

Rusty is a singer/songwriter. In addition to writing more radio morning show jingles than anyone alive (heard on radio stations all over the world), his song, Do The Bart Simpson, made national charts and was the inspiration for The Simpson’s Multi-platinum CD.

Humphries has produced five musical CDs including “Bomb Iraq – Rusty Humphries Takes on the Terrorists,” which was the largest selling CD in laugh.com history. The recording company is partially owned by George Carlin and features the largest selection of recorded humorists available such as Ray Ramano, Woody Allen, and Robin Williams to name just a few. His CD “Greeting From America – Wish You Were Here” was a “best of” collection made specifically for the troops in harm’s way; it featured songs and well wishes from radio listeners from across the country.

Rusty is currently working on several things: growing his syndicated radio show; writing a book; planning a concert tour; and developing a TV show. He considers his passion for children’s and veterans’ issues to be the most important parts of his career.

Rusty is recently widowed; his wife, Ami Kathleen, died in 2008 after a long-battle with interstitial cystitis. Rusty raises his two daughters, Katelynn and Karaline, as a single parent.

The Rusty Humphries Show is featured in great cities across America like San Francisco, Tampa, Houston, Orlando, Seattle, Oklahoma City, Atlanta, Norfolk, Cleveland, Honolulu, and your town (hopefully).
