Shooting During Celebration Of Park Renovation In Amarillo

It appears that the community can’t even renovate a park and basketball court without idiot gangsters ending up shooting at each other. It’s frightening to think that even at a celebration event for something the benefits the community, violence breaks out and a teen lies in the hospital while an armed gunman is on the loose.

A party to celebrate the resurfacing of a city basketball court ended in violence Thursday, after police said someone opened fire, shooting one person in the leg.

Johnson said the man told officers the fight involving about 30 young adults quickly moved to Redwood Street, and a light-skinned black man with long hair pulled out a pistol and started shooting.
