A new security plan that has been in the planning stages for over year is now in effect at Shamrock ISD.

The $150,000 security plan includes bullet proof windows, cameras and an intercom system.  They have also put up signs at the front of the high school and elementary school.

The signs read, "Attention.  Please be aware that the staff at Shamrock ISD is armed and may use whatever force is necessary to protect out students."

The district voted unanimously in July to allow trained staff memebers
