School Closings, Delays & Cancellations – UPDATE 8:45 AM

Well, our winter storm will not be putting 'Nemo' to shame, but for the Panhandle we'll still get our far share of white stuff today.

Below is what ProNews 7 Chief Meteorologist Steve Kersh is calling for today:

***WINTER STORM WARNING IN EFFECT THROUGH TUESDAY EVENING*** Tuesday could end up being the snowiest day we've seen so far across the High Plains this season as significant snowfall is in the forecast! The latest KVII Computer Model data indicates snow likely throughout the morning hours that will decrease in the afternoon to just a few areas of light snow. Accumulations will range from 1-3 inches over the far southern and southeastern TX Panhandle, Eastern New Mexico and the Oklahoma Panhandle to 6-12 inches for areas along and north of the Canadian River! For Amarillo and Canyon, our computer model indicates 6.7" of snowfall! Be sure and stay tuned to Storm Search 7 throughout the day on Tuesday as our team of meteorologists will be keeping you up-to-date on this storm and letting you know of any road closures, school delays or closures, etc. In the meantime, get ready for cloudy skies and high temperatures in the upper 20s to the lower 30s as northeasterly and northerly winds blow at speeds averaging 10-20 mph .... causing wind chill values in the 10s and single digits!

These are the current school delays and closings.

Follett ISD: No buses off pavement.

Stratford ISD: Buses on pavement only

On time:

Pampa ISD: All classes and buses are on time.

Delays:

Channing ISD: One hour delay. 9 a.m. start. Buses will run in-town only.

Bushland ISD: Two hour delay, 10 a.m. start. Buses will run accordingly.

Springlake-Earth ISD: Two hour delay, 10 a.m. start. Buses on pavement only.

River Road: Two hour delay, 10 a.m. start. Buses will run accordingly.

Happy ISD: One hour delay, 9 a.m. start. Buses will run accordingly.

Booker ISD: One hour delay, 9 a.m. start. Buses will run accordingly.

Gruver ISD: One hour delay, 9 a.m. start. Town only, no buses.

Boys Ranch: Two hour delay, 10 a.m. start.

Claude ISD: Two hour delay, 10 a.m. start.

Panhandle ISD: One hour delay, 9 a.m. start. No buses will run.

Clarendon ISD: Two hour delay, 10 a.m. start. No buses

Hartley ISD: Two hour delay, 10 a.m. start.

Pringle-Morris CISD: Two hour delay, 10 a.m. start.

Spearman ISD: Two hour delay, 10 a.m. start.

Groom ISD: Two hour delay, 10 a.m. start. No buses.

Perryton ISD: One hour delay, 9 a.m. start. In town buses only.

Grandview-Hopkins ISD: Two hour delay, 10 a.m. start.

Ascension Academy: One hour delay. 9 a.m. start.

Trinity Lutheran: Two hour delay. 10 a.m. start.

Closings:

National Fluid Power Institute: All classes canceled.

Pantex Plant is closed for normal operations, essential personnel only.

Frank Phillips College: All campuses closed.

Jan Werner Adult Day Care Center: Closed.

Liberty Christian Borger: Closed.

Kingdom Kids Childcare: Closed.

Carenet Pregnancy Center: Closed.

White Deer ISD: Closed.

Mclean ISD: Closed.

Lefors ISD: Classes have now been canceled.

Clarendon College (All Locations): All campuses closed.

White Deer Lions Club: Dinner canceled.
