The restoration of the Santa Fe building downtown was approved by Potter County Commissioners last year.

According to County Judge Nancy Tanner the exterior of the building has never be restored and work will begin soon.  The most damage to the building is moisture that's seeped through the building and caused to to deteriorate.

The building, built in the 1930's will soon see construction begin.

Commissioners voted last year to also approve funding to upgrade elevators in the building.
