Is the Criminal Justice system working?  The Sheriff in Spartanburg County in South Carolina doesn't think so.  He does think it's time for citizens the arm themselves.

Speaking at a news conference yesterday Sheriff Chuck Wright spoke his mind.  He's known for doing so.

The conference was concerning a woman that was attacked in a park over the weekend.  The offender is a long time veteran of the Criminal Justice system.  He's been charged with many crimes against women.  20 charges dating back to 1983.

The Sheriff opened the news conference saying, "Our form of justice is not making it".  He went on to say, "Carry a concealed weapon.  That'll fix it".

He called the perp an "animal"  and went on the say he is tired of looking at victims saying, "There's life after this...I'm tired of saying, 'We're sorry, we can't keep them in jail.:"

He also expressed his view on gun control.  "...when you can get your barrel back on the target quick..."
