With the weather getting warmer, TxDOT is heating up.

It's always a good idea to stay up and aware on road construction and repair is happening around town.  With Spring in full swing there's plenty to be aware of before you head out, especially if where you're heading is not on your normal route.

Starting Monday May2nd through the end of the week, here's what's happening.

On Highway 136 there will be closures from Lakeside to Amarillo Boulevard for patching with additional lane closures towards FM 245 to the county line for signage.

On I-40 expect closures in both directions from Ross Street to Eastern Street for patching.  Also the Counter street overpass will undergo patching work also and use caution in the area.

Additionally on I-40 expect closures on the frontage roads from Hope Road to the Oldham County line for fog sealing.  Also expect closures along the Coulter Street to Georgia Street for patching.

On Thursday the ramp from northbound I-27 to westbound I-40 will be closed for patching and guardrail repair.

The exit ramp from southbound I-27 to 26th remains closed and will so for several weeks as part of the new direct-connect construction project.  Motorists will need to use the 34th Street exit ramp

The intersection of Western Street and Hollywood road still has the south side of the intersection closed for a freeway reconstruction project.  Traffic from Loop 335 wishing to go south on Western Street will be directed to use Bell Street to Sundown Lane.  Traffic on Western Street heading north toward Loop 335 will still have access to all points south of the closure.

Good luck and safe travels this week!
