U.S. Customs And Border Protection Secures Tex-Mex Border From Land, Air and Sea

MINDEN, La. (AP) — A road rage incident involving a gun on Interstate 20 in Louisiana has landed a Texas man in jail.

State police say the alleged victim was traveling west on I-20 near Minden around 4:30 p.m. Wednesday when the driver of a small pickup began tailgating and making inappropriate hand gestures. Troopers say the driver of the truck then changed lanes, pulling up alongside the victim and allegedly pointed a handgun.

The Times reports (http://bit.ly/18b4uXV ) 62-year-old Leroy Smith, of Fort Worth, Texas, was booked with aggravated assault. If convicted, Smith faces up to a $1,000 fine and six months in prison.

It was unclear whether he has an attorney.
