Rinse & Repeat: I-40 Traffic Stop Nets Nearly 50 Pounds Of Marijuana
I-40 was the scene of another traffic stop that turned into much more on Saturday.
Around 9am on Saturday a Texas DPS officer pulled over a 2014 Toyota Corolla for a traffic violation on I-40 near Bushland. During a search of the vehicle, authorities found 45 pounds of marijuana with a street value of nearly $300,000. The contraband was discovered in the trunk.
Sara F Bazylev, 44 and Paola Mayela-Castro, 27, both of Pomona, California were the only occupants in the vehicle and both were taken into custody. Both were charged with felony possession and booked into Potter County.
