Rent For Amarillo Apartments Up 2.5%

Apartment renters are paying more on average this year than they were this time last year.

The National Association of Realtors has released a report that shows apartment rent in Amarillo has risen 2.5%.  The NAR reports occupancy in the city is at 91% and this has caused rent prices to rise to meet demand.

According to the NAR the average price of an apartment in Amarillo last year was $650 a month and the average apartment size was 811 square feet.
