Potter County Sheriff’s Seize 20 Pounds Of Marijuana During Traffic Stop

A man was arrested by Potter County Sheriff's Monday after a deputy found 20 pounds of marijuana.

The deputy stopped a 1998 Volkswagen on I-40 west of Bushland for a moving violation.  After getting inconsistent stories from the driver and the passenger the deputy asked for and received permission to search the vehicle.  During the search the deputy found 20 pounds of marijuana inside the trunk.

The passenger was released at the scene.  The driver was arrested and booked into Potter County.
