The painted horse statue called "Cowboy Justice", that sat in front of the Potter County Sheriff's office, was toppled over by an unknown person or persons Sunday afternoon.

The horse statue cost around $2,500.  The horse was paid for mostly by employees with some assistance and had resided in front of the Sheriff's office for several years.

The horse was pushed over causing all four legs to break at the base where it was mounted on a concrete slab.

It isn't know if the statue is repairable or a total loss.

Sheriff Brian Thomas is asking anyone with information on the party responsible for the vandalism to call Crime Stoppers at 374-4400.
