Overnight Storms Leave Mark On Amarillo

Overnight storms wreaked havoc on Amarillo and the surrounding area.

Assessment of last nights severe weather is ongoing.  Suffice to say there is a lot of damage to go over. The storm peaked around midnight last night and in it’s wake left a swath of broken windows and beaten vehicles.

The hardest hit area was 45th & Soncy.  Authorities also reported several stranded vehicles due to flooding.  The hail also contributed to several wrecks in the area.

There have been no reports of major injuries of deaths.
