Off-Duty Amarillo Police Officer Victim Of Hit-And-Run

Last night around 10pm an off-duty Amarillo Police officer was the victim of a hit-a-run.

The crash happened on US 287 near 24th Ave.  A Chevy Tahoe traveling at a high rate of speed rammed into the off-duty officer's car.  The officer's vehicle then struck another truck ahead of him.  The Tahoe then fled the scene north on Dumas Drive.

There were no injuries the crash and the incident is still under investigation.
