No Injuries During Fire At Austin Group Home
AUSTIN, Texas (AP) — Nobody has been hurt in a fire at a Central Texas group residence for the mentally challenged who may be homeless.
The Austin Fire Department says the blaze was reported around dawn Monday at Hannah’s Place in North Austin. Officials say about 30 people in the structure were safely evacuated as the fire was put out.
Authorities are trying to determine what sparked the fire.
Hannah’s Place, on its website, describes the site as a group home for disabled people who are mentally challenged and homeless.
Calls to the home weren’t immediately answered Monday.
