Newly Renovated Downtown Women’s Center Now Open

Abba House, also known as The Downtown Women's Center is open once again after a facelift.

Abba House is at the corner of 4th & Monroe.  It is the place where women with addictions can go to get help.  The house can now hold up to 10 women and six children.

A majority of the funding for the renovations were made possible by a block grant from The City of Amarillo's Community Development Block Grant.

Residents of Abba House now have a new stove, refrigerator, and microwave.

There are a few vacancies now but they will be filled with women from The Haven shelter.
