Clovis and other communities in New Mexico are getting some help from the state with drinking water.

Clovis, Portales and Cannon Air Force Base are getting a $4 million grant from the state to help bring drinking water to those parched areas.

Eastern New Mexico Rural Water System will be getting money from the state's Water Project Fund.  The money will be used to construct a pipeline from Ute Lake to the affected communities.
