Paul Millsap had 17 points and eight rebounds, and the Atlanta Hawks beat the Celtics, 104-92, in Game 6 of the teams’ best-of-seven NBA playoff series in Boston on Thursday night.

With the victory, Atlanta advanced to face top-seeded Cleveland in the Eastern Conference semifinals.

Leading 41-33 at halftime, the Hawks used a 39-point third quarter to pull away for good. Al Horford and Kent Bazemore each added 15 points for Atlanta.

Isaiah Thomas led the Celtics with 25 points and 10 assists. Boston lost in the first round for the third consecutive NBA playoff appearance.
