A Nationwide Spokeswoman stated that the company will be closing the Amarillo call center in July of 2013 and letting 325 employees go.

The employees will be offered other positions inside the company or be handed severance packages and employment transition training.

“This is really part of our effort to enhance our productivity and efficiency, increase our competitiveness and cut operating costs,” spokeswoman Nancy Smeltzer said. “By no means does this reflect on the performance of the associates on this site.” via - amarillo.com

The Amarillo call center will carryout normal operation until July of 2013.
