National Tourism Week is April 30th - May 7th.

To celebrate National Tourism Week, the Amarillo Convention and Visitors Council has put together a schedule that will keep you busy all week.

There will be three proclamations: Randall and Pottery Counties today, April 26th, and the City of Amarillo tomorrow, April 27th. Saturday, April 30th, is Museum Day. The Amarillo Museum of Art, American Quarter Horse Hall of Fame and Museum, Bill's Backyard Classics, and several other local museums will be offering discounts and other specials. On Monday, May 2nd, the nation's only RV museum, Jack Sisemore's Traveland, will host What's On Tap? Admission is free. The Yellow City Certified Tour will take place on Wednesday, May 4th, from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. Friday is Texas Panhandle Travel Rally Day and there will be a special ceremony at 11 a.m. at the Texas Travel Information Center by the airport, as well as First Friday Art Walk at Sunset Center. Finally, they will celebrate National Train Day on Saturday and host Arts Night at the Amarillo Venom game.
