A Sunday evening traffic stop led to the discovery of more than 15 pounds of meth with a street value of more than $1.3 million.

Three people from San Bernardino, California were arrested.and are facing multiple charges including Possession of a Controlled Substance over 400 grams, a first degree felony.

A DPS trooper pulled the 2014 Ford Focus for a traffic violation.  A search of the vehicle saw the trooper discover six bundles of meth in the spare tire.  The drugs were allegedly being transported from San Bernardino to Amarillo.

The total of meth seized in the Texas Panhandle this past weekend was nearly $3 million.
