The bumpy stretch of road on 34th street between Coulter and Soncy to be rebuilt.

Anyone whose traveled the short distance on 34th between Coulter and Soncy knows it can be a bone jarring ride.  On Tuesday City Council members approved a contract that will completely rebuild the road.

L.A. Fuller & Sons has been contracted to do the job.  The rebuild will cost $2 million dollars.  The work will be a total curb to curb rehab project.  The road bed will be completely rebuilt from a depth of 13 inches.

Construction is set to start soon and will potentially run through January 2015.  While the road won't completely be shut down to traffic, there will only be one lane in each direction open during construction.
