The APD has issued a warning to Amarillo residents about a letter scam being sent to addresses across the city.

The letters are postmarked Phoenix, AZ. and appear to come from ‘US Airlines”.  The letter claims the recipient has won two round trip airline tickets.

The Better Business Bureau says the letter is similar to a letter reported in July.  The BBB has also gotten numerous calls about the letters.

If you are the happy recipient of one of these letters you are asked to dispose of it.  If you have lost money in the scam, contact the police at 806-378-3038
