Have you ever wanted to learn sign language?  If you have here is an wonderful opportunity to learn a new language and even better it is one where you use your hands.

Every Monday starting on March 27th and lasting through May 1st you can take free sign language classes.

The classes are from 6:30pm to 7:30pm and are open to all ages.

The classes will take place at Lamar Elementary, 3800 S. Lipscomb.

Following the classes each week they will have special guest speakers at 7:30pm.

Community Classes include:

Basic Sign Class:
Beginners learn basic signs including Numbers, ABC’s, Colors, Animals & Simple Sentences).

Intermediate Sign Class:
This class uses the English based sign system in a conversational way

Children’s Sign Class:
This class uses fun activities to teach kids sign language.  Good for ages 0-4 and children ages 5-8.  This is only available to parents taking other sign classes.

Parents of DHH Preschool Students:
This program is designed for parents with babies in the DHH program to learn beginning signs in different home situations.

Again classes are free, but you must RSVP.
