Junior League Helping The Amarillo Zoo

The Junior League of Amarillo is helping out with the Amarillo Zoo.

The Junior League created the Zoo in 1955.  Now they are returning to those roots to help out.

The women will help with special events, public programs, summer camps, and exhibition interpretation in the coming months.  More than 20 Junior League volunteers will donate 50 hours of time to help.  The Zoo will be teaching the volunteers how to handle the more exotic animals in the park.
