The Amarillo Fire Department's job opening for a Fire Chief has been filled by Jeff Greenlee.  The position has been vacant since last year by retiring Steve Ross.

Although a nationwide search was conducted, Greenlee rose through the ranks and has been with the department since 1993.  His most recent position with the Amarillo Fire Department was District Chief.

Greenlee will be responsible for every aspect of the department.  This includes 250 firefighters, 17 civilian personnel, eventually 13 stations and a budget of over $25 million.
