Is the US Tax System the Best in the World? — Survey of the Day
Perhaps tax season, and all the stress and frustrations it can bring, isn’t the best time to ask Americans what they think of our system of taxation.
But that’s what Rasmussen Reports did.
One thousand adults were surveyed to get their take on whether they thought America has the best tax system in the world.
Sixty-one percent of respondents said that we did not, whereas 12 percent answered that we did and 27 percent weren’t sure.
Among those who didn’t think America has the best tax system, fairness was the issue most cited in where we come up short.
