TxDot has made a decision on the bridge near Bushland on I-40.

The bridge was damaged in late February when a semi-truck veered off the interstate, struck the bridge, and caught fire.  TxDot has recently completed a cost/benefit analysis and made a decision regarding repairing or replacing the bridge.

The analysis showed repairing the span would cost $2.5 million more than replacing the bridge.

The project is scheduled to begin sometime in July and take 45-50 days to complete.
