HOUSTON (AP) — The Houston Zoo is holding its first-ever garage sale to clear out some storage space.

Items offered at the sale Saturday will include audio equipment, exercise mats, lawn care equipment, posters, children's toys, zoo graphics and some leather-bound editions of National Geographic Magazine.

Brian Hill of the Houston Zoo tells the Houston Chronicle (http://bit.ly/1dsWd6L ), "We've scoured storage lockers, closets and offices across the zoo for weeks now and zoo employees have also donated gently used personal items for the sale."

He adds, "There will be no actual animals or elephants on sale."

Proceeds from the sale will benefit the Houston Zoo Wildlife Conservation Program, which helps support elephant conservation programs in Africa.
