A hiring freeze has been initiated at West Texas A&M pending a review of administrative costs.

The freeze applies to non-faculty administrative staff positions.

Mission critical positions will still be filled, especially those that ensure the safety of students.  And for positions that have already been offered to potential employees, they will still be hired.

The positions exempt from the hiring freeze are those that are 100% funded from external grants or contracts.
