A high speed police chase on Sunday ends with a wreck and an arrest.

A 35-year old man is in the Oldham County jail after attempting to evade police trying to stop him for a traffic violation.

It was a bad situation made much worse by the chase.  Joey Climer was being pulled over for running a stop sign or signal in Vega.  When police tried to pull him over, he took off like a rabbit.

The chase reached speeds of 110-mph on I-40, with the suspect driving towards Amarillo.

The chase lasted 16 minutes and ended when Climer crashed into a gas station at I-40 and Coulter.

He was charged with evading arrest with a motor vehicle.
