Agriculture is big business on the High Plains.  A recent analysis shows agriculture supported more than 103,000 jobs in 2010.

Texas Tech and Texas A&M teamed up to produce the study.  The report concludes that more than $12 billion in economic impact is due to agriculture.  The study used a five year average of production in 41 counties, covering a variety of crops.

It is expected that those numbers will continue to grow in the future.
