I came across an article online the other day that listed the most boring tourist traps by state. I know I should be publicly shamed for this, but I was expecting the writer to list Cadillac Ranch, Floating Mesa, or any of the other "installments" we have around here.

A sigh of relief came when I saw that none of those were listed. Instead, the honor goes to Ingram, TX. According to the article, Stonehenge II is the most boring tourist trap in Texas.

Plaster, Wire, and Easter Island

It's a hard point to argue. Looking at the photos, it reminds me of the old roadside "Bedrock City" tourist trap I visited as a teen. Plaster sculptures that over promise on the fun times they can deliver.

They even have the replica Easter Island head...which doesn't have a whole lot to do with Stonehenge.

Join A Road Trip To See It

I love a good "tourist trap." They're real life "campy" fun. It's like being on set during the filming of an old B-Movie. I did come across a Facebook event where a bunch of people are meeting up at Bucc-ee's in New Braunfels and then heading out to go see Stonehenge II, if that's something you're interested in.
