Group Trying To Fight The Hands-Free-While-Driving Ordinance In An Odd Way
A group hoping to overturn the hand-held cell phone ban have an interesting idea on how to do it.
Over the weekend a website devoted to overturning the ban put up a banner encouraging voters not to vote in the upcoming city election. The hope is with a lower voter turnout it would lower the threshold of signatures needed on a petition to push the ordinance to a vote.
The banner has since been removed. The man leading the petition drive, David Kossey claims he isn't trying to get people to skip the election.
