Ethanol Industry Threatened By Midwest Drought

CHICAGO (AP) — Grains futures were mixed Monday in early trading on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for July delivery rose 0.5 cent to $6.49 a bushel; July corn slipped 1 cent to $6.7825 a bushel; July oats were flat at $4.0125 a bushel; while July soybeans jumped 20.5 cents to $15.85 a bushel.

Beef and pork prices were also mixed on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

August live cattle fell 0.12 cent to $1.2190 a pound; August feeder cattle rose 0.75 cent to $1.5020 a pound; July lean hogs added 0.75 cent to $1.0202 a pound.
