Ethanol Industry Threatened By Midwest Drought

CHICAGO (AP) — Grains futures mostly fell Thursday in early trading on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for July delivery fell 11 cents to $6.96 a bushel; July corn fell 4.5 cents to $6.7775 a bushel; July oats were flat at $4.0325 a bushel; while July soybeans fell 16 cents to $15.07 a bushel.

Beef prices fell, while pork prices rose on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

August live cattle fell 0.90 cent to $1.1950 a pound; August feeder cattle fell 0.55 cent to $1.4410 a pound; July lean hogs added 0.13 cent to $1.0010 a pound.
